There was no question not to bring Sangita on this journey with me. Obviously we are looking to develop my skills and bring the business forward and I can’t do that on my own and so it was essential that Sangita came with me so that she could see what we’re learning here, the skill sets we’re learning but also how we can then implement them together. It’s good to have a sounding board and take people on your journey with you.
I would say definitely bring your business manager, if you’ve got a clinical manager, bring them along, bring these people on your journey because you’ll learn so much. You’ll come out brimming with ideas and all this excitement and if you’ve got two or three of you to go on that journey with you it’s so much easier to then spread the word throughout the business and in the practice.
I do quite a lot of self-development and I was looking to see what we could do for the business. I thought this was the right opportunity. Every so often we grow the business then we want to go up a tier and keep growing, so we are always looking for ways to develop ourselves as leaders and develop the business as well.

I’m finding it extremely useful. We were both so impressed with what we learned at the first event and what we implemented after that. Things that I have implemented since that first event have made a massive difference to how I run my practice.
Before this course started I was in a pretty bad place, everything looked quite grim because I couldn’t find my right work-life balance. It’s helped me decide what is important, what I need to prioritise and what I need to pass on to my practice managers. It’s all helping me develop my practice managers and my team so that they can take more work on.
I’m now able to delegate effectively, I don’t feel I have to micro-manage. Consequently I feel that the practices are running a lot better. My work-life balance is really good and a big knock-on effect is that I appreciate my staff also need a work-life balance, so we’ve introduced a few schemes for them, like employee support scheme, and we’ve organised team events etc.
Overall, it’s had a very positive impact on how we run the practice. Our goal is to acquire some more practices, we have four at the moment. Before joining the programme it just did not seem possible, now it does.
It was about finding the right coach. I was with another business coach, in fact this is my third business coach but I was trying to find someone who could understand where I wanted to grow to. My coach before this was a very generic coach. I find this course provides me with the support from Andy, Anne-Marie and Mark that I can actually focus on what I need to. They can identify things in my business and say, right, this is where you need to focus your attention.
I’ve been wanting to grow for a really long time, it was just finding the right avenue that would help me. We were already part of SOBP, then this course came along and I have not been disappointed.
